The one i ended up keeping is doing good. I thought he was a she for a while but now I think he is a he :)

Stay away from calci sand, I have heard only bad things about it and for the most part the things I have heard seem to be logical. The bottom line is watch your critter, pay attention to it. ANY type of substrate that could get into his mouth could potentially cause impaction. I personally use Exo Terra Sand. I have since day one and never had a problem. Not saying that one cant happen, just saying it works good for me.
