The leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius) is a nocturnal ground-dwelling gecko found in the deserts of Pakistan, northern India, Vietnam, and parts of Iran. Unlike most geckos, it possesses eyelids. It has become well-established in captivity, particularly through the pet industry.
